Testimonials
“My own lab (120 pounds of love) is basically
my child, and Wendy is the only person I trust to
watch her. Her excessive experience with dogs has
given her the ability and confidence to deal with
any dog-related "situation" that could arise
(medical, social, etc.). Last time Wendy watched my
dog I came back to an extremely happy and tired pet
who whined at the window to go back after I took her
home, and then slept like a rock. If your dog is used
to getting plenty of love and attention (or is as
dependant as mine), it will be totally at home at
Wendy's. My dog is so pampered at her place! She is
also very attentive to eating, walking and pottying
schedules. As far as I'm concerned, that is the kind
of commitment to animals that puts her a step above
other sitters I have used in this area. I have never
seen a dog that didn't love her.”

“Paws on Track gives me the peace of mind that
my dog, Alex, is receiving the best care while I'm
away. And there's the added benefit of knowing that
his caregiver is also a trainer. Alex has so much
fun at Paws on Track that he doesn't want to leave!”

“Wendy Chen and I have shared experiences at
the San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers on
two different occasions totaling seven weeks. I have
watched her skillful dog-friendly handling and people-friendly
handling. She has been a pleasure to work with in
joint training projects. Knowing her skills and having
benefited from her wise counsel, I wouldn¹t hesitate
to ask her advice on a difficult case or to put my
own family dogs into her hands. She is an effective
and compassionate trainer. She'll get great results
with your dog because she'll care about your dog.”

“I was fortunate to be referred to Wendy Chen through my dog¹s day care. From the time I spoke with and met Wendy she was the utmost professional. A few days prior to my planned 15-day trip Luka received some serious cuts which had to be tended to. Wendy assured me everything would be OK and it was perfect. She tended to Luka and even took him to the vet¹s to get his stitches removed. It took a few days for my dog to warm up to her but once he did, he didn¹t leave her side and even wanted to sleep with her on her sleeping bag. I would highly recommend Wendy as pet/house sitter.”

“When I try to define the role that Wendy fulfills for my family, “dog walker,” “dog sitter,” and “dog trainer” just doesn¹t do the trick. My lovely Welsh corgi Gwyneth and I were fortunate to meet Wendy during Gwyneth¹s puppy training class-her warmth, good humor, and calm demeanor immediately drew us both toward her—me for help in deciphering Gwyneth¹s behavior, and Gwyneth for an always-appreciative audience for her puppy antics. One of Wendy¹s great strengths as a canine caregiver, I feel, is her ability to meet both of these needs. In her work with Gwyneth, I have been enormously impressed with her ability to integrate the needs of the dog with the needs of the family, creating training, walking, and sitting programs that accommodate and enhance the livelihood of everyone involved. A year after our puppy class ended, Wendy is still very much a part of my family¹s life. She walks Gwyneth, arranges play groups that include trips to the park, has taken Gwyneth into her home for many overnight stays, and even, quite generously, brought her on vacation on the occasions when our boarding needs have coincided with Wendy¹s own travel plans. After each overnight stay, Wendy brings Gwyneth back promptly at the arranged time, and then takes the time to discuss Gwyneth¹s adventures—and misadventures—during their time together. She even brings us a disc of photos and short films documenting Gwyneth¹s stay, so I can feel like I¹ve shared in on their fun. In fact, Wendy has arranged it so I always feel like I¹m with Gwyneth, even when I¹m working in my office—I have a precious calendar, starring Gwyneth and created by Wendy, which makes me smile and makes me reassured that Gwyneth is always in wonderful hands. But Wendy does much more than take good care of Gwyneth. Her patient guidance and gentle discipline have helped Gwyneth to grow into the socialized, spirited, and well-behaved dog she is today. Perhaps even more importantly, her kindness, consideration, and support have enabled my family to enjoy an ever-more delightful and rewarding relationship with our dear, lovely dog.”

“Wendy is amazing. She takes my two Labs out for exercise during the week ,and when I go out of town, they stay at her house. I would never leave them with anyone but family and Wendy! She is so careful with my older dog, who has some not obvious but dangerous health issues, but really wears out my young pup. Moving away from family was hard, but having Wendy around lets me go home and visit and not worry if my dogs are okay, or even if they are missing me! They LOVE Wendy, and she loves them too.”

“Wendy is wonderful and very knowledgeable too. My Scottie Sadie has health issues but has become noticeably more happy and playful since Wendy started walking her. Sadie now loves Mondays which are Wendy days!”

“Wendy is fantastic! She always took our dog home happy and tired. Her dogs, Oscar and Slim, are patient and playful and make great pals for our crazy lab. Good job Wendy. Our dog is looking forward to the next play date!”
